What I've done until now...?
Today was the orientation for Introduction to Architecture at Columbia univ.
I was not nervous but exciting to meet new people and get involve new project. However, all day long, I had to be disappointed to myself.
There was no discriminate as my race but as ability including communication skill.
So I had to spend the time alone. Although it was not boring but busy to read materials and visit where I should work with for the assignment, I felt loneliness.
Even enough, I have no roommate that now I'm alone. I have to be alone in a room. This is why I went my home so often during the semester in KAIST.
Orientation ; All professor were coming and introduce themselves, however, I couldn't listen to even their name. GSAPP distributed package; the information book and a black file containing some hand outs. It was pretty nice stuff. The book includes really all about GSAPP and campus life info. Except that I couldn't understand clearly what the professor said, the orientation gave me good impression.
For lunch, I got a apple fritter with a coffee at Starbuck, however, realizing how much bad to eat bread for my body.
Campus tour ; It was nothing. :(
After having some break in dorm, I visited Gansevoort Marine Transfer station site to get impression for the assignment. Indeed I was surprised that they gave us the assignment at first day with the orientation.
Gansevoort Marine Transfer station site ; Burning my skin! It was beyond 'hot', but got burn! hu what could I see at this situation? I was striving to take some photos to record, however, others drawing something on their sketchbook. Not brave like them... need a confidence for myself.
TA Presentation ; TOO LATE to get this. I had no choice but asking again to TA who looks friendly asian.
Exciting to get this program, they offer really variety programs! From the lecture and workshop to visiting architect offices and biking along the river! :) Hope me to enjoy this programs in this summer.
